Proud to be an American!

These Marines served as the Honor Guard at a funeral I attended yesterday at the Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, GA. They reminded me of just how proud I am to be an American!

His Return!

When I saw these clouds this afternoon, I was awe-stricken! I could only imagine how the day would have changed, if Jesus had been standing amongst them, ready for His return for His Bride! I hope they bless you, as the did me!

Breaking News!

Hi friends and family:
Mike and i just got back from the hospital where we said our goodbyes to our friend from Mars Hill. Her name is Allyson and she was a dear friend whom I met my first semester at Mars Hill. She came to my baby shower, cooked us meals when Matthew was born and just generally seemed to always surprise me by showing up to bless me when I needed it. She had a brain aneurysm last night and surgery that was performed this afternoon was unsuccessful. She is from North Carolina and her parents were flying in tonight. They were keeping her on life support for a few hours for her parents to say their goodbyes and then they were to take her organs, as she is a donor.
It was a very difficult experience to see the shell that was Allyson lying in that hospital bed. I take comfort, in all of the confusion, holding fast to my faith that reminds me that God is good. Please pray for Allyson's friends and family, and also for the Mars Hill community as we grieve. Allyson graduated this past May, but was working for the school as a practicum facilitator. This meant that she was in a counselor role to first and second year students who are no doubt struggling with her sudden death.
Thank you for you prayers and for being a special person in my and my family's life. You are loved!
Annie
