On my way to the church this morning, I saw a most unusual sight on the roadside; in fact, it was unique for me--a pair of crutches leaning against a fence. When I saw them, my mind immediately went to the stories in the Bible of Jesus healing the lame, and I thought, "Did I just miss a miracle?"
As of this moment, I have no idea how or why they were there, but I do know this: they were still there around 2:00 this afternoon, when I took the picture. You might wonder why I would want a picture of a pair abandoned crutches, a legitimate "wonder", I suppose. In case you do, here is the reason: I wanted the picture because the crutches reminded me that God still performs miracles--He still heals the lame; and He still sets the prisoners free! Who knows, I may enlarge the picture and place on the wall in my office1
Who knows, I might have missed a miracle this morning, or maybe He just wanted to remind me that He is still the miracle-working God that He has always been.
Blessed and very much so,
Your Pastor

Mac,
Those crutches are not mine. I looked in my closet and the two pairs that I have are still there.
Enjoyed Sunday! It was nice to hear and see the assembling of our faithful. I had fun as the Spirit had it's way with me. The song, the the Word were a great combination. What does he have up his sleeve for us this week.
Seems last week was very interesting. It was a week that I am glad happen, but in a way sad that it happen. I guess that is life. Those times that come and go speak load to who we are and who we are in Christ. Somehow I made it through.
By the way my baseball team won a well played game on Saturday 11-3. Was a game where everything seemed to go right. As we know that is not always the case.
The fence looks great. I see that your comment is that Ralph is not up to his old self. Being in the hospital and being put to sleep takes something from you. Hope brother Ralph makes it back to full strenght.
Anyway have to go back to work. Before I close, thanks for the handshake Sunday, and thanks for looking me in the eye. Nice to connect even if we did not get to talk much.
John
