Sunday's Message

As I write this, it is Friday afternoon around 3:15 and I have just finished going back through the text I used last Sunday morning (Luke 18: 1-8). To be honest, I am not sure that I communicated the heart of this passage last Sunday, so I plan to make another pass through it this Sunday in an effort to communicate more clearly and effectively.

The Spirit's purpose is obvious: to show us that at all times we ought to pray and not to lose heart. As you probably know, this is something we all need to see because we all have at one time or another found ourselves losing heart, maybe even wondering "why pray"?

Unfortunately, this is due to the fact that most of us (if not all of us) have been taught that God is like the unrighteous judge, especially in the way He answers our prayers. If I accomplish nothing else, I sincerely pray that I can encourage you to have your mind renewed, if this is the way you think today.

God is in no way like this unrighteous judge!

Please pray for me, as I continue to mediate on this passage and eventually preach this Sunday morning.

Blessings,
Your Pastor
