Another Night in Danville!

It is true: Annis and I found ourselves in the big city of Danville, GA tonight where it rained--real water, rain! I actually saw water standing in the yard of Douglas & Valorie Chance, you know the folk I told you about last week, the ones who live in the country; albeit, not in Jeffersonville but Danville (I stand corrected!).

Anyway, I am confident that you remember my telling you about the drop-dead-gorgeous girl I met last week, while at the Chance's leading a Bible Study; even if you don't, I did and now YOU get to meet her and her fella'! Notice how much better he looks in her presence! Douglas and I fought over which one of us would carry her into the house but neither of us won, as you can see.

Sometimes you meet a young couple and you just know that they are going places; you know that they are not going to allow mediocrity to rule their lives. In this case, he (Jereme) is an RN, who is on his way to medical school! Lazy people do not even think this way, much less take on the challenge, and, I might add, he loves Corrie and it shows!

She (Corrie) on the other hand is pursing her BS in "Mass Communication", doing her internship at the Children's Hospital of the Medical Center, and driving to and from Milledgeville for classes. Trust me on this one, lazy folk don't even have a clue as to her motivation; as I told you last week, she is paralyzed from roughly her waist down, as the result of an auto accident on Easter Sunday, seven years ago, and spends quite a bit of time in her "trimmed-in-pink" wheel chair. Now listen up (if you are feeling sorry for yourself): she drives her car, cleans her house; walks on a treadmill for 30 minutes several times per week; and does whatever else she might decide to do! Remarkable, to say the least!

Corrie is a fighter, too, and don't you forget it; she is determined to overcome and does whatever she is supposed to do to reach that goal!

Sometimes, one goes to give and, instead, receives, and this was one of those times! What an incredible gift!

May God bless Jereme and Corrie as they reach for the stars!!

Greatly encouraged!
Your Pastor
