Sunday's Service

For several reasons, I am expecting a great service this Sunday: (1) we will gather together to worship Him; (2) some folk called the office today, asking for directions to GCF, indicating that they were coming to visit this Sunday; (3) I received an email from someone who attended GCF for quite a while, until his job moved him and his family away, asking what time our service started, which I took to mean that we just might see them this Sunday; (4) the new bride and groom are going to be present; (5) I will have another opportunity to preach the Good News; (6) we will celebrate the Eucharist; and last but not least, (7) we are having a "covered dish" dinner following our service! By anyone's standard, this should make for an incredible day!

Because I know you want to come prepared, I will give you the text for my message: 2 Kings 5--the story of, among other things, Naaman's being healed from leprosy. Please read the story over several times, even if you have already read it several times, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to you!

Let us all praise Him for our recent and much-needed rain and, as we do, let us ask Him to rain His Spirit upon us, as we meet together this Sunday!
